Home Performance Seminar

Wharfinger Building

A great workshop for contractors and homeowners alike! Join the Redwood Coast Energy Authority for a No-Cost workshop to learn how a house works as a system and why it’s important to understand the relationships between common residential design details. Heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, thermal envelope, air barrier, moisture barrier, appliances all work together to make the home more comfortable, improve indoor air quality and use energy efficiently, reducing the size of proposed renewable energy systems. Instructor Andy Wahl has more than 30 years of experience in the Building Science field and has completed more than 7,500 energy analyses. His certifications include RCS Auditor, HERS (Home Energy Rating System) Rater, BPI (Building Performance Institute) Proctor and Super Proctor, and is the proud owner of a retrofitted Zero Net Energy Home. For more information and to register for the workshop, call Katey Carpenter at 707-269-1700 or visit the PG&E website at www.pge.com/energyclasses.
