HSD Restoration Field Tour

Freshwater Farms Reserve

Join Northcoast Regional Land Trust and Mad River Alliance on a tour through the Wood Creek restoration project on Saturday, January 27th from 1:00 pm-3:30 pm. Humboldt Steelhead Days participants will learn about coho salmon life history, the significance of estuarine habitat, large wood structures, fish monitoring technology, contextual historical regional land uses and project successes and challenges. Tour attendees will also have the opportunity to actively participate in the restoration project through a vegetation based stewardship activity. Heading North: Take Highway 101 North and make a right at the Indianola Cutoff, at traffic circle take the 1st exit onto Myrtle Avenue. Continue south for 2 miles. Freshwater Farms Reserve is on the right, parking lot (and meeting spot) approximately 500 feet past barn on the right.

Heading South: Take Highway 101 South and make a left at the Indianola cutoff, at traffic circle take the 1st exit onto Myrtle Avenue. Continue south for 2 miles. Freshwater Farms Reserve is on the right, parking lot (and meeting spot) approximately 500 feet past barn on the right.
