Humboldt Beekeepers presents “Garden Bees” with Pete Haggard

Join us for an evening getting to know native bees and the plants that nourish them. Pete is co-author with Judy Haggard of the field guide “Insects of the Pacific Northwest” He retired from the Humboldt County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office 2006 after 34 yrs of service. Pete teaches the UC Master Gardener Program and UC Master Food Preserver Program here in Humboldt County. He serves as Garden Chair for the California Native Plant Society- North Coast Chapter and is an instructor of the gardening classes for Humboldt State University College of Extended Education and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Join us in welcoming Pete and take advantage of his notable experience and knowledge of plants for pollinators. This meeting of local beekeepers is open to all who want to know more about our native bees and their environments.
