Humboldt County’s Kids Ocean Day
A worldwide event, Kids Ocean Day is an annual ocean celebration and collaboration for a better future. During Kids Ocean Day, ~1,000 Humboldt County students will be visiting the coast for a day of beach cleanup and ecosystem restoration at the Mike Thompson Wildlife Area, South Spit of the Humboldt Bay. After working hard to protect the health of our coast & ocean, students, teachers, and volunteers will sit in an aerial art design while a plane flies over to capture the image. This year’s message is “Come Together,” reminding us that we all need to work together to protect our coasts.
