The Arcata Chamber of Commerce and Humboldt Green Events are proud to announce the culmination of Green Week: The Garden Party. Taking place on April 26th from 11 am to 4 pm. Hosted in the Creamery District, this free, interactive festival is designed to liven up the community by connecting Arcata’s families with the local businesses that make this city go.

We will be partnering with the Arcata Playhouse, which will be offering a matinee showing of “Bear in the Backyard” at 1 pm. This event provides a family-centric atmosphere where the focus is on the beauty of youth and sustainable farming.
The Garden Party introduces a new, interactive layer: The Business Power-Hub. This is a dedicated space where community members can meet the “Businesses that Power Arcata” - the entrepreneurs, makers, and service providers who drive our local economy.

“Arcata is powered by its people and its small businesses,” says Stephen Gieder, Executive Director of Humboldt Green Events. “The Garden Party is where those two worlds meet. It’s an interactive engagement where kids can learn to plant, and parents can engage with the local leaders who keep our town vibrant. It’s the ultimate ‘Humboldt Green’ celebration.”

Event Highlights:
● Youth Farming & Discovery: Hands-on planting activities and arts & crafts for all ages.
● Local Makers & Service Providers - wander through the booths and exhibits, shop for local gifts!
● Matinee of ‘Bear in the Backyard’ inside the Arcata Playhouse (Tickets will be sold for this portion of the event)
● The Business Power-Hub: Meet-and-greets with the local businesses that make Arcata go.
● Live Music & DJ Sets: A high-energy DJ set sponsored by The Ganjery, alongside live local bands and entertainers.
