Humboldt Mecca Cup
“The Humboldt MECCA Cup and Concert’s founding partners have focused on creating an event that is welcoming to all people that call Humboldt County home. We look to build community unity through celebrating our diversities and offer an open forum to give patrons equal rights to freedom of expression and conversation in the aesthetic of “for the people, by the people”.
“We look to grow with our audience in the years to come, and hope an interactive fan base will help champion those efforts. We have a rich and multi-genre lineup of music artists that offer the “MECCA” patrons quality live performances featuring soundscapes into Reggae, Hip-hop, Rock and Blues! The outdoor “Grove” main stage will host these undeniable talents under the towering majestic redwoods rain or shine!”
Concert gates at 2pm, music at 3pm
The concert is ALL AGES
Cup festivities from 1pm to 8pm

THE CUP
Cup patrons must be at least 18 years of age and must present their 215 script at the door for access.
A panel of 20 professional judges will have two weeks to narrow down their favorite herb. Each judge will be given one gram of each of the entries. They will then have two weeks to smoke, taste and experience the herb.
42 entries (30 grams per entry) will be picked for the judged competition and entrants will receive two VIP passes into the cup and concert.
Categories Include:
- Flowers (indoor or outdoor)
- Concentrates (hash)
- Super Concentrates (waxes)
All concentrate contests will be held on site at Dab Lounge inside the Cup. The chosen 42 strains will be judged by a panel of 20 judges during the two weeks before the show. The deadline to submit strains is April 3, 2013.
Strains not picked will be presented in a jar appeal and scent competition to be judged by all patrons of the Mecca Cup on show day.
