The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is pleased to announce a new exhibition, Imaginarium Salon. The show features art from past and current staff including digital art, collages, paintings, photography, poetry, prints, and sculptures by Katie Belknap, Erica Davie, Aida Kastel, Zuzka Sabata, Ben Selman, Hannah Suzanna, Helena Williams, and James Zeller.

The exhibition will be up through the end of March, and will be celebrated with a reception March 10th 6-9pm during Arts! Arcata. You are invited to join an all-star cast of local musicians, students and community members that will play music from the straight ahead to the avant garde. The group will create spontaneous pieces with ‘graphic’ scores (made of shapes and symbols without limit), turn spoken phrases into percussion rhythms and go on journeys of timbral discovery using collective composition techniques. Nothing like this has ever been heard before. Come join in the fun and beauty, as a performer or witness.
