“In Our Sanctuary City”
Centro Del Pueblo, in collaboration with Equity Arcata, is organizing a community dialogue event called “In Our Sanctuary City.” The goal of this event is to address community concerns about ICE immigration laws and how they impact the sanctuary status of Arcata and Humboldt County.
The event will feature a panel consisting of:
Law enforcement representatives
School administration
Healthcare providers
Panelists will answer questions about their protocols and procedures if ICE were present in the city or their facilities, and how these policies align with the protections established under the County and City’s sanctuary status.
This event aims to provide clarity, support, and answers to the concerns of the immigrant community.
