Indie Author Day at the Library
Are you a writer? Fiction, nonfiction, poetry? Have you considered self-publishing your work? Maybe you’re already a self-published author and are looking for ways to promote your books. All independent writers and readers are invited to join us at the library for Indie Author Day. Bring your questions and your books. Our afternoon will start at 1:00 with local historical fiction author Rick Ruja and science fiction author David Gallagher, who will briefly discuss their works and their experience with the process of self-publishing, and then take questions. Afterward there’s an opportunity for any self-published author to show their work and time for the buying and selling of books until 3:00 p.m. Rick Ruja will introduce his historical novel, Indian Tears Along the Mad River. Based on local history and previously unpublished historical manuscripts, this novel presents little-known events in local history in a readable story format. David Gallagher is a local freelance author, screenwriter, songwriter, and performer who enjoys writing speculative fiction, realistic fiction, and parables. His work is published online.
