Information Meeting for Dominican Republic Appropriate Technology Trip

This is an informational meeting about the 2015 Practivistas trip. Every year students and community members from the United States (through Humboldt State University) and Dominican Republic (through Universidad Iberoamericana) work together with community leaders in financially poor barrios to tackle real problems with existing resources. Projects built through this broad collaboration include plastic bottle schoolrooms, rainwater catchment systems, a rice husk pharmacy, a solar powered off-grid animal shelter, solar powered classrooms, and many more.
