Introduction to Salsa Rueda (6 weeks)

6-week Introduction to Rueda (Cuban salsa in the round). Dance in a circle of couples, responding to calls from one of the dancers, with frequent partner changes. Partner dance experience recommended but you don’t need a partner to attend. Rooted in Cuban son and Afro-Cuban rumba, “salsa casino” is a playful and energetic dance style that can be danced as a couple or in a “wheel” (rueda) as a group activity at social dances and parties. It is strongly recommended to take the entire series. For those who have completed the series, an intermediate class follows from 8-9pm. $45 price is for the entire series.
