Introductory Backpacking Trek

September 16 - 17. very journey begins with a first step. This course is designed to learn the basics of backpacking while being out in the outdoors. This trek along the coast is easy to moderate terrain and will cover a 3 mile round trip. Participants will learn the essentials such as what to bring on a backpacking trip, how to use a map, how to make a campfire and so much more! There will be plenty of time to lounge in camp or play on the beach for free time! Mandatory Pre-trip Meeting: Tuesday, September 12, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM at the Recreation & Wellness Center. Registration Deadline: Monday before the event
