Ivy Bash
Calling All Hands! Help the Trinidad Coastal Land Trust knock-back the ivy on our newest holding at the south end of Scenic Drive/north bank of the Little River (at the cul de sac just south of the Moonstone Beach trunoff). Ivy has been growing unchecked on this site for decades, and we are beginning the process of removing this and other invasive plant species on Saturday, March 12, starting at 9:30 am. Light snacks, water and some hand-tools will be provided. Much of the ground is pretty steep and will be wet from recent rains, so this is not the best event for children. Please bring a reusable water bottle, gloves, and additional hand tools. And, if you’ve got a weed-whacker that you’d like to put towards the effort, bring it on! Over the next several years, the TCLT and several agencies will be working to make this the site of a trailhead that will ultimately connect the Hammond Trail to Trinidad. In the meantime, this place needs a lot o’ love and the help of many hands! For more info, email us as info@trinidadcoastallandtrust.org
