Jackson Ranch Road Field Trip
Join Redwood Region Audubon Society and trip leader Ken Burton on Sunday, January 28 for a flat, 3.4-mile, out-and-back trip on Jackson Ranch Road in Arcata. We’ll walk amidst the pastures and sloughs of the Arcata Bottoms in search of Snow Goose, Ross’s Goose, Greater White-fronted Goose, Pacific Golden-Plover, and Wilson’s Snipe among the more common species. Anyone wanting a shorter walk can simply turn back sooner. Meet Ken (shrikethree@gmail.com) at the intersection of Hwy. 255 and Jackson Ranch Rd. at 8:30 a.m. for this half-day trip.
