Born and raised in Honolulu, Jake Shimabukuro’s life has always centered on the ukulele. He started playing at the young age of four, urged by his mother who also played. Today, he is widely recognized as the world’s top ukulele musician. Renowned for lightning-fast fingers and revolutionary playing techniques, his virtuosity defies labels. Performing jazz, blues, funk, classical, bluegrass, folk, flamenco, and rock, Jake views the ukulele as an “untapped source of music with unlimited potential.
