Science on Tap
Mad River Brewery Tasting Room
Ever wonder what it takes to restore 60 acres of prairie and bring back centuries of ecological balance? Come hear the story of Lehlkenoh - We Clear Away the Land, at this Friday’s Science on Tap!
This Friday, January 30th, we’re excited to welcome Preston Taylor, the Yurok Tribe’s Ungulate Specialist Biologist, to share the incredible story of Lehlkenoh, the Yurok Tribe’s Restoration of Stevens Prairie. Preston manages the feral cattle management program, collaborates on prairie restoration, and contributes to the condor reintroduction program. As a Senior Tracker through CyberTracker Conservation and Cal Poly Humboldt graduate, he brings deep knowledge and passion for the North Coast ecosystems he’s called home since 2011.
The presentation starts at 6 pm, but be sure to arrive early to snag a spot and enjoy a local brew from the Paskenta Mad River Brewery. We’ll see you there!
All donations help support the continuation of Science on Tap events and in-stream restoration projects organized by the Eel River Watershed Improvement Group (ERWIG).
The weather is cool, so dress accordingly and wear layers. Please consider carpooling since parking is limited.
Science on Tap fosters collaboration among local advocates for natural resources. Let’s create a platform for sharing ideas and insp
