Celebratory Ribbon-Cutting and Entertainment
The grand opening festivities commence on Friday, January 26th, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:00 PM, co-sponsored by the Loleta and Ferndale Chambers of Commerce. Following the ribbon-cutting, guests will enjoy the lively tunes of the Cal Poly Humboldt Marching Lumberjacks, and fresh frybread delights from Frybread Love. Guests are invited to participate in an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of our on-site ice cream production facility.
Farm-Fresh Ingredients in Every Bite
At the heart of Jersey Scoops’ menu is the small-batch ice cream made from rich, locally-sourced milk from Foggy Bottoms Boys’ dairy farm, ensuring that each dessert - be it Soft Serve, Ice Cream Scoops, Root Beer Floats, and Oreo Cookie Sandwiches - is of exceptional quality. The savory selection of grab-and-go options include: deli sandwiches, craft beverages, specialty foods, and the signature Crispy Chive Grilled Cheese – all of which showcase products from beloved local businesses.
A Weekend of Fun, Food, and Community Spirit
The celebration continues on Saturday, January 27th, promising a day filled with fun activities and exceptional food. The Axe Box crew will provide free axe throwing in the Loleta Community Park for the adventurous, while the Striped Pig String Band plays folk and bluegrass tunes. Pineapple Express and Food with Hoy will be serving up delicious Hawaiian and Asian Fusion fare starting at 11:00 AM. Inside the shop, guests can test their bravery and participate in ice cream eating contests at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM each day.
Sunday, January 28th, will feature exciting giveaways, complimentary ice cream, wonderful Nicaraguan food from Fritanga Nica, live music from The Melange, and free donuts courtesy of Happy Donuts.
