Based in Sweden and born to Argentinian parents, José González pulls from folk, pop, and an array of world music traditions to build songs that are powerful, haunting, and intimate. González’s poignant vocals, classically-influenced guitar playing, and thought-provoking lyrics have helped him rise to the top of the indie music scene. In this special performance, his popular compositions are reframed with backing from the cutting-edge classical string ensemble yMusic.
