Julian Lage Trio

A former child prodigy whose immense talent was documented in the Oscar-nominated documentary Jules at Eight, Julian Lage performed on the Grammy Awards at 13, and was given faculty status by the Stanford Jazz Workshop at 15 (he also appeared with David Grisman’s band at HSU while in high school). He’s continued to build career momentum through star-making collaborations with Gary Burton, Bèla Fleck, Chris Thile, and Wilco’s Nels Cline. Embracing elements of both jazz and acoustic Americana, his trio performs music from their new recording, Modern Lore.
