July 5th Adopt A Beach Cleanup in Shelter Cove
July 4th is always a party in Shelter Cove and following the festivities the beach is littered with fireworks and trash. You can lend a hand in cleaning up and protecting marine ecosystems by joining Friends of the Lost Coast, BLM King Range and local community members for a July 5 Adopt-A-Beach Cleanup. The event runs 9:30a.m. to noon and the group will meet at Mal Coombs Park to sign in and pick up trash bags/pickers, buckets, and gloves. $10/hr stipends are available to youth, ages 10-17, with pre-registration.
