Hey kids!
Lost, confused and have no idea what to create for the kids Kinetic Classic? Join us in Eureka this Sunday September 7th from 2-4PM and we will help you with out crafting supplies and kinetic smarts create something amazing for the kids Kinetic Sculpture Race. The bike Kitchen will also be open during this time if your “sculpture” needs help!
What is the Kinetic Classic you say? It is a Kinetic Sculpture Race created for children ages “still in the womb” to 8th grade. Young ones can ride in mommies belly, be pushed in a wagon or stroller and be judged in art and theme. School aged children can decorate their bikes, scooters or create something of their very own and be judged in the categories of art, speed and teamwork. Older kids, 4th - 8th grade, can even try to create a push cart and compete in the Push Cart Kinetic Dash and be judged in art, speed and engineering.
The Kinetic Classic is a free event held the 2nd Sunday of September. This year it will be at Jefferson Community Center Sunday September 14th from Noon - 2PM. You can register for the race on our website.
