King Tides Walk

Ma-le’l Dunes North (Off Young Lane)

Join Naturalist Suzie Fortner for an accessible walk along the Mad River Slough during one of the highest tides of the year. The first half of this walk will be about 1 mile, slow-paced on a flat gravel trail. For those willing and able to hike through soft sand, there will be an optional side trip through the dunes to view the beach and foredunes during high tide. Suzie will give an overview of the Humboldt Coastal Resilience Project research and share current efforts to increase the resiliency of our coastal dunes.
