KMUD Harvest Daze
KMUD - Redwood Community Radio, Inc.
On Friday September 28th, from 3 to 10 pm, celebrate the changing seasons with the last event of our Summer Music Series, KMUD’s Harvest Daze. Join us on the KMUD lawn at 1144 Redwood Drive in Redway to enjoy spicy autumn delights such as a cider press demonstration and specialty cocktails with fresh pressed apple juice from KMUD’s orchard. Authentic international cuisine will be served up by English Express, a ESL (English as a Second Language) program that offers free local classes. We will be serving wine, Lagunas beer, and craft cocktails. Please bring your own plates, cups, and silverware for discounted pricing at this zero waste event. There will be craft vendors and music by Mumu Crew, The Singing Nettles, Dirty Rat Records, Flo-J-Simpson, and Irie Rockers. Sound by Humboldt Audiophile. Also, live painters, Ananda Flow Poi Spinning, and a breakdance show by Reckless Rex and the Sohum kids. Enter to win the KMUD Harvest Daze Bake-off: Donate your best baked good to the KMUD dessert table by 7:00. Judges will rate entries (bonus points awarded for “locavore” desserts that highlight a Humboldt-harvested ingredient). Bake-off winner announced on air at 8pm! Please come share some harvest sugar and spice while supporting two important causes— your community radio station KMUD and our local free ESL program, English Express. This event is free!
