Lanphere Dunes Guided Walk

Lanphere Dunes (HBNWR)

Interested in accessing the Lanphere Dunes Unit of the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge and obtaining your permit to do so? Join a Friends of the Dunes Naturalist for a free guided tour! This guided walk with Friends of the Dunes teaches participants about the rules and regulations put into place to protect Lanphere Dunes and allows them to receive an access permit. The Lanphere Dunes Unit is home to diverse coastal ecosystems including coastal dune forest, seasonal wetlands, and large moving sand dunes. Meet at Pacific Union School, 3001 Janes Road in Arcata to carpool to the protected site. For more information and to reserve a spot, contact Friends of the Dunes.
