Laura Lamers Memorial Knit-In

Old Town Gazebo

The NorthCoast Knitters would love any and all fellow fiber artists to join us for World Wide Knit in Public Day at the Gazebo in Old Town Eureka. This event is part of a world wide event celebrating fiber arts. Please bring your own chair and a potluck food or drink to share. (Alcohol is not permitted.) We will be having a raffle and the proceeds will benefit The Breast and Gyn Health Project in Laura’s name. Don’t forget to bring CASH for raffle tickets! We have over 25 prizes totaling thousands of dollars consisting of everything from gift cards to local arts and crafts shops to spinning fiber to yarn to gorgeous finished pieces! Come check it out! You don’t have to be present to win. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Not just for knitters – spinning, weaving, felt, needlework, crochet … The NorthCoast Knitters are a group of fiber artists that get together for weekly meetups to socialize and knit/crochet/spin/weave/etc. Our group originated from the community that Laura Lamers fostered in her yarn shop, The NorthCoast Knittery. When Laura passed away last year from breast cancer we decided to keep our knitting group going. The Knittery’s World Wide Knit in Public Day event was always an amazing day full of food, fun, and prizes, and we knew we had to keep it going too. Last year the NorthCoast Knitters were able to raise $850 for The Breast and Gyn Health Project through this event.
