League of Women Voters’ State of the Community Luncheon
The League’s annual State of the Community Luncheon will be held at the Adorni Center, in Eureka on Friday, April 25. Information about reservations may be found on the League of Women Voters of Humboldt County’s website or by contacting Judy Bennett at 707-845-2215 or Judybennett82@gmail.com. The luncheon often sells out, so early reservations are recommended.
The annual luncheon is the League’s major fundraiser as well as a time to celebrate individuals and groups that make our community a better place. We will also hear about accomplishments and challenges facing our county from a member of the Board of Supervisors.
At the luncheon, the LWV will present Civic Contribution Awards to two groups whose efforts support an informed citizenry: the California Retired Teachers Association, North Coast Division 27 and The Elections Transparency Project. Learn more about these two hard working groups at the luncheon.
The League of Women Voters of Humboldt County is a non-partisan political organization that works to promote informed participation in government.
