Lecture: Tree Rings and Redwoods

HSU Natural History Museum

Find out about some of the latest research regarding redwoods with Allyson Carroll, a local dendrochronologist who works with Save the Redwoods League and Dr. Sillett from the forestry department at HSU. She will share with us a newly created cross correlation using redwood that expands investigations regarding climate change. The study of tree rings in general allows us to ask questions regarding trees and forests across space and time. Donations are appreciated.
