Let’s Talk About the Middle East - The Rooftops

The Miniplex at Richards’ Goat Tavern

For the last film in this semester’s Let’s Talk About the Middle East film and discussion series, HSU History professor Dr. Leena Dallasheh hosts a screening of The Rooftops (2013). This film tells five different stories, told from the rooftops of different neighborhoods in Algiers, each story paced by the daily calls to prayer. Produced by Algerian director Merzak Allouach this film in an internal critique that examines the entanglement of class, gender, and politics in Algeria. This event is free, open to the public and ADA accessible.
