Life Jacket Trade-in
Does your life jacket look like road kill? Did your life jacket fit you when you bought it but somehow it won’t adjust correctly anymore? You can trade it in for a new one this Saturday for free! Kayak Zak’s is working with California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) to facilitate this exchange. Come to the Stone Lagoon Visitor Center 115336 Highway 101, Trinidad, CA 95570 on Saturday, May 16 and bring your crummy old life jacket to trade for a shiny new one! All sizes available until supplies run out. For more information call State Parks Ranger, Keven Harder (707) 845-6171 or Kayak Zak’s (707) 498-1130.
DBW announces the 16th Annual Life Jacket Trade-In. Events will be held statewide on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from Noon-2pm but Kayak Zak’s will have them available from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. One life jacket per family, while supplies last. The life jacket trade-in provides recreational boaters the opportunity to have life jackets inspected by safety professionals. If a life jacket is found to be outgrown or unserviceable, a new, properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket will be given in exchange. These events are being conducted in coordination with Safe Boating Week www.safeboatingcampaign.com (May 16-22) to increase boating safety awareness.
