Local Fiber and Hempcrete Building Workshop

Join Australian hemp ambassador, Klara Marosszeky (KLAH-rah mah-ruh-ZEE-kee) as she leads our community in a three-day industrial hemp masonry workshop, August 12-14 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. each day at the Trinidad Rancheria amphitheater site. Hempcrete is a natural, non-toxic, fire-mold-and-pest-resistant wall insulation system with superior building performance and sustainability attributes. Local and imported fiber will be used to build a demonstration wall, with help from the audience. Superfood samples, raw materials, and product examples will be displayed, and two engaging documentary films will also be shown on the first day. Tickets can be purchased online at a discounted rate before July 25th at www.gofundme.com/HempTalksCA. Tickets can be purchased in person the day of the event at the following rates: • FREE to a limited number of volunteers for the event • Tickets at the door will be $30 per day or $75 for all three days for the public • Trinidad Rancheria members are $50 for all three days.
