Local Filmmakers Night
Eureka High School Lecture Hall
Local Filmmakers Night will feature local filmmaker and co-owner of Revolution Motion Pictures, Ace Aseltine. Aseltine will share some of his adventure films in an evening dubbed “Traveling the Americas”. Aseltine grew up in Huntington Beach California where he developed his taste and style as an artist. After graduating Humboldt State University, Aseltine set out on a bicycle adventure through the Baja desert to achieve his childhood dream of becoming an adventure filmmaker. With a “People’s Choice” award from the Humboldt Film Festival he produced his first commercial film for KEET TV entitled Exploring Humboldt. In 2014 Aseltine and his wife Stacey DeMartini established Revolution Motion Pictures. Aseltine and DeMartini ”strive to tell stories with messages of entrepreneur inspiration and creative prosperity.” They are currently editing their next travel film entitled The Adventures of Acey & Stacey, which takes place in Central America. The event will take place at the Eureka High School Lecture Hall (Humboldt and K Sts.). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Screening starts at 7 p.m. Following the screening, attendees can enjoy Q & A session with the filmmaker, movie trivia, prizes, and a reception at Access Humboldt’s Community Media Center. Local Filmmakers Night, a collaboration between Access Humboldt, Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission and Eureka High School Media Club, is a screening series that supports and promotes the local film community.
