Local Horror Author Íde Hennessy

April Arts Alive, local horror/sci-fi author Íde Hennessy will be signing copies of Split Scream: Off the Map, a paired novella from Tenebrous Press in the tradition of vintage Ace Doubles paperbacks. Her novelette “Sequoia Point” is set in a fictional Lost Coast town plagued by the paranormal.
“Evoked the atmospheric quality of some of the late David Lynch’s work, that sense of shadow and darkness that is both void and also pulsing with life.” – Books for Decaying Millennials
“We all have plots we prefer, and I think ‘Sequoia Point’ has one of mine. Which is why I don’t want to say too much about it … Grab that book and decide if you like this one and its ending as much as I did. It’ll be worth it.” – Leo Otherland
Íde Hennessy has been a Humboldt County resident since 1996. Her short fiction has appeared in Strange Horizons, Cosmic Horror Monthly, The Off-Season: An Anthology of Coastal New Weird, Reckoning: The Magazine of Creative Writing on Environmental Justice, and more. Her stories have been featured in Recommended Reading Lists from Reactor (Tor Books), Locus Magazine, and more.
