Ma-le’l Dunes North (Off Young Lane)

Join local biologist Tony LaBanca for a guided tour of the Ma-le’l Dunes Unit of the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday June 29th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This month’s Beach Buckwheat Bonanza puts the spotlight on this cheery coastal wildflower and other plants of the dune mat community. Meet at the Ma-le’l North parking lot, to get there turn west onto Young Lane from Samoa Blvd. (Hwy 255) and follow the road north past the gun club. Reserve your space by calling (707) 444-1397.
