Ma-le’l Dunes Dynamic Landscape Walk

Join a Friends of the Dunes Naturalist for a guided tour of the Ma-le’l Dunes Unit of the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday July 27th from 2 to 4 p.m. This month’s walk focuses on the dynamic landscapes of the dunes, how they are formed and how they change. This site is home to diverse coastal habitats, including freshwater marsh, saltwater marsh, dune forest, and large moving sand dunes. Meet at the Ma-le’l North parking lot, to get there turn west onto Young Lane from Samoa Blvd. (Hwy 255) and follow the road north past the gun club. Reserve your space by calling (707) 444-1397.
