Ma-le’l Dunes Insect Walk
Ma-le’l Dunes North (Off Young Lane)
Join Friends of the Dunes naturalist and author Pete Haggard for a guided tour of the Ma-le’l Dunes Unit of the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge. This walk focuses on insects of the dunes. Pete and his wife co-authored the book “Insects of the Pacific Northwest”. Meet at the Ma-le’l North parking lot, to get there turn west onto Young Lane from Samoa Blvd. (Hwy 255) and follow the road north past the gun club. Reserve your space by calling (707) 444-1397.
