Mateel Community Center presents their monthly Comedy Cabaret. November features Humboldt’s Favorite Live Stand-Up Comedy Game Show – Make Me Laugh! It is loosely based on the old 70’s TV show called Make Me Laugh. We just do it live, and it is the most ludicrous night of entertainment anywhere in the Western Hemisphere! The show is pretty simple. Spectacular improvisational jazz duo No Covers gives the show a little class. We give our comedians a chance to show you how funny they are before we start the game. Then we bring volunteers from the audience on stage (one at a time)and give our comedians each 60 seconds to make the contestants laugh while they try not to. Those who hold out the longest get ridiculously fabulous prizes! (more ridiculous than fabulous.) It’s cut throat competition that nobody takes seriously. Think you have what it takes to hold out? Want to watch others try? Special guests from the Bay Area and Salem’s own Ray McMillin will battle for supremacy against returning champion Josh Barnes. Jessica Grant and Tony Persico host.
