Master Gardener Presentation: No More Naked Winter Gardens

Humboldt County Library - Eureka Main Branch

Naked Gardens are a magnet for every weed imaginable! This winter, plant low-maintenance garlic and fava beans in those empty spaces. By late spring you will have avoided the weeds and weeding, and you’ll also have two of the most delicious foods your garden can grow. Join UC Master Gardeners and Master Food Preservers Jennifer Bell and June Walsh, who will show you how to grow, harvest, and preserve garlic and fava beans. You’ll have the opportunity to taste some wonderful recipes highlighting their unique flavors.
