Meet the Artists: Annie Reid and Sarah Magnuson
Annie Reid, a lifelong painter, brings to this exhibit small oils from her studies of ‘Flowers and Light’. The light in Reid’s Still Lifes emanates from within the flowers, rather than from an outside source. She calls these floral portraits the ‘Not So Still Life’ as they capture the kinetic energy around each flower.
Sarah Magnuson creates elegant window hangings of copper faeries and other creatures, adding natural objects with prisms of rainbows and the magical sounds of volcanic glass. Her creations are designed to teach their owners the healing, restorative and medicinal powers of the herbs after which the faeries wings are shaped.
Enjoy snacks, wine pour benefitting Trinidad Coastal Land Trust, and live music by Duncan Burgess, Fred Neighbor & Bruce “Junior” Johnson.
