It’s comedy night at The Old Steeple with comedians Milt Abel and Anthony Hill. A headlining stand-up comedian for over twenty years, Milt has performed his clean, clever and funny brand of comedy throughout the U.S. and Canada in venues ranging from corporate engagements to cruise ships, from television to bars masquerading as comedy clubs under names like ‘Ha Ha a Go Go.’ With almost a dozen television appearances, including “An Evening at the Improv”, Showtime, and PBS, Milt also tours in the show 4 stand-up Dads, and has recently published a book of humorous short stories, “Stories from the Delux.” Born on New Year’s Day in the nation’s capital and with a last name that begins with the letters A-b-e, Milt has always been at the front of one line or another. Before he was one-year-old, Milt’s family moved west in a covered station wagon, and despite living his entire life in California he has yet to refer to anyone as ‘dude’. Milt’s humor has always been devoid of stereotypes, cheap shots, or laughter at anyone’s expense; in other words, never divisive or derisive. With material focusing on everyday experiences about his wife and kids, travels, and how we relate to the world around us, audiences always come away feeling good about how they chose to laugh. Opening the show will be nationally touring comedian Anthony Hill, a favorite of the San Jose Improv who has appeared with a variety of national headliners as well as on television with Jay Leno and Conan O’Brian for NBC’s “Smiles Per Gallon series.” The Old Steeple and Ferndale Music Company are located at 246 Berding Street in Ferndale (next to the cemetery) and are open from noon to 5pm Monday-Saturday.
