Well hallo there. It’s been a dozen and a hundred Saturday Nights of Mister Moonbeam shining behind closed doors, training toes and shredding strings, fancy flutes and sing-a-lings, since last things so seemingly granted as stages and audiences, as they are, or were, have gleamed with the faintest of this here Moonbeam. But light reflected is not light lost; no, it can under certain circumspect circumstances fold back into itself and accumulate velocity and mass and upon repeated refinement shuttle that self-same accumulated light into some future Saturday Night, where it might burst and blossom forth into a dozen and a hundred and one streams of stockpiled shines. And so it appears the stars are set align with just such a Saturday Night in the near, very near even, future: Saturday Night<2022<1919>2022>Saturday ⚡️Mister Moonbeam⚡️ - 9pm - Mojave Green - Three piece crunchy & western sidewinder outfit fronted by Cliff Dallas, perhaps more notorious than famous for such acts as Cliff Dallas And The Death Valley Troubadours, The Common Vice, Que La Chinga, and various others that naming would serve simply to magnify the already ample aforementioned notoriety. They also have not seen a stage in two years, one can know not what to expect of a reservoir of pent up performance from such masters of swing and swagger! ⚡️Mister Moonbeam⚡️ - 10pm - Mister Moonbeam - That’s me, and what can I say of who I am, being me myself? Well, I am, apparently, one who would spend years, a decade even, learning to play simultaneously several instruments, using all four limbs and the pie hole to create live, without loops or gimmicks (musical, that is), the sound of a whole band. A splendid spectacle of limber limbs dancing in place, conjuring and emoting the eternal internal and translating to song. Also, I’m drawn to shiny things and yet despite a dispute with the philosophy of Oscar Wilde seem still to expect sublime salvation from the pursuit of beauty - and on some very special Saturday Nights find it indeed. ⚡️Mister Moonbeam⚡️ - 11pm - Silver And Nails - A darling duo with a giant pop sound, melodies like tiger paws, harmonies like lyrical high-flying birds of dream, and mostly like, like, well I like their music and wanted to play a show with them, and would think most any aficionado of polished pop confections would be at pains to not nod or tap a toe, if not outright unashamedly enjoy themselves, perhaps even avail themselves to fits of cathartic abandon when that voice reaches for the notes that shatter the glass from your hand. ⚡️Mister Moonbeam⚡️ - All in all I anticipate an eternal enchanted evening, for these three hours. More merrymakers means more merry will be made, so I’ve decided the show will be FREE for all willing to make the merry! Thanks to the fine folk at The Siren Song Tavern for hosting us, and for keeping a torch lit for live music in our lil’ sleeping beauty of a lost coast hamlet. I hope merry much to see you there, aye!
