NEC Movie Night: Rivers and the Creatures that Rely on Them

On Thursday, February 7, the Northcoast Environmental Center (NEC) is sponsoring a Wilderness & Environment film night at the Arcata Playhouse. The night’s theme is Rivers and the Creatures that Rely on Them. We will be screening two films: “Dancing Salmon” and “On the Trail of Tarka.” There will be concessions, a raffle, and a presentation with HSU professor Jeff Black about the films and his work with the River Otter Citizen Science Project and the North Coast Otters art project. Tickets are available at the door, $10 for general admittance and $8 for students. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and films start at 6:30 p.m. The Arcata Playhouse is located at 1251 9th St, Arcata.
