Noir at the Clarke
Attention all guys, dolls, everyone on the North Coast!
Put on your favorite glad rags and join us at the Clarke Historical Museum Speakeasy for our first fundraiser of 2026—Noir at the Clarke, a 1920s-40s themed-evening. There’ll be wine, champagne, and cocktails (password required!), hors d’oeuvres, live music by Swingo Domingo, silent auction, pop-up exhibits, and plenty of hardboiled entertainment! Includes local author James Arthur Donzella reading from his hard-boiled novel The Dead Don’t Pay, actors performing short skits parodying classic film noir scenes, and more.
Our gift shop and Cottage at the Clarke will have merch specially themed for the occasion, and there’ll be a silent auction. There will also be several vintage automobiles in front of the museum to help set the mood!
Thanks to community members like you participating in our fundraisers, we will be able to keep educating and preserving our local history. As a non-profit organization, all proceeds from the event go straight back into the museum. You buy tickets at the link below or you can also stop by the museum in person to buy tickets—we would love to see you! And if you’re not currently a member, now is a great time to join for discounted tickets to this event and more!
The mission of the Clarke Historical Museum is to celebrate the rich and varied history of Northwestern California by preserving, sharing, and interpreting that history in ways that increase knowledge, enrich the spirit, engage the mind, and stimulate the imagination.
