NONBINARY GIRLFRIEND is a bedroom pop/punk band from Portland, OR, and this show will be the kickoff for their California tour! This summer, NBGF was voted the “Best New Band in Portland” by the Willamette Week! The band also recorded a studio session with KEXP in Seattle. Inspired by worst days, inner kindness, and taking up space, NBGF makes rock existential. Their music experiments with gender and sexuality through self-expression, siren-esque melodies, and reverberating instrumentals.
!MINDPARADE is a Portland band comprised of a variety of multidisciplinary musicians, melding a kaleidoscope of sounds to create a mixture of rock, synth pop and group improvisation. Arcata locals BLOOD HUNNY make “indie Folk Pop about feelings, trauma, and luv.” Bar opens at 6pm. Music at 9pm. $12 presale / $15 door. 21+
