“Why are Mushrooms Toxic?” HSU professor emeritus William Wood will discuss the ways plants and animals use chemicals to convey messages. He has authored or co-authored dozens of published papers in organic chemistry and chemical ecology. The public event will be held at noon Saturday at the Samoa Cookhouse, 908 Vance, Ave. in Samoa.
