Samoa Cook House

Humboldt County’s timber heritage will be featured at the North Coast Mensa Forum at noon Aug. 29 at the Samoa Cookhouse. A presentation titled “Humboldt Timber Heritage: A Historical Perspective” will be conducted by Michael Kellogg followed by a tour of the nearby Timber Heritage Association’s roundhouse for anyone interested. Kellon is a 30-year member of the group and a member of board. He is a retired civics teacher. The forum is open to the public. There is no admission charge and lunch may be purchased.
