Northcoast Mensa Forum
Renewable energy will be the topic at the North Coast Mensa public forum Saturday (April 3) at noon at the Samoa Cookhouse. Jim Zoellick of Schatz Energy Research Center at Humboldt State University will be the guest presenter. His topic is “Promoting Renewable Energy via Regional Planning and Project Implementation.” In partnership with local governments, agencies and organizations, the Center is working to transform the energy economy of Humboldt County and the North State Region to be clean, renewable and sustainable. This presentation will touch on some of the key projects that SERC is involved in and will discuss plans for future work. Zoellick is Senior Research Engineer, has been with the center since 1995. He worked on the first street-legal fuel cell car in the U.S. He has an environmental engineering degree from HSU. He sits on the Arcata Energy Committee. The event is open to the public. Lunch is no host.
