Come ring in the New Year at The Goat with DJ Sovern-T! Sovern-T (a.k.a. Taharba James) has been a firm fixture in the West Coast and Hawaii music scenes for decades. He rocks the dance floor with True School Hip-hop, House, Top 40, Latin, Electronic, Bhangra, Bollywood, Funk, Soul, Reggae/Dancehall, and more. We’ll have champagne cocktails and bottle specials, dancing in The Miniplex, a street food pop-up from Chef Drew Gugin, and a midnight countdown. The bar opens at 6 pm for NYE, with dancing at 9:30pm. Just a $5 cover! 21 & up only.

Sovern-T started off in the early 90s as a promoter and DJ in San Diego, relocated to the Bay and played bass in various bands, and then became one of Honolulu’s most in-demand DJs. He’s worked with (and opened for) artists such as Tribe Called Quest, World Famous Beat Junkies, Ky-Mani Marley, Shinehead, Baby Cham, Mr. Vegas, Goldie, Ozomatli, Jurassic 5, Black Eyed Peas, Public Enemy, and more.
