Location: Eel River Wildlife Area

Join us for one or two days of restoration at the Ocean Ranch Unit of the Eel River Wildlife Area. Ocean Ranch, which is ancestral land of the Wiyot Tribe, boasts beautiful salt marsh, coastal prairie, coastal dunes, and riparian habitat. Volunteers will support invasive plant removal, native planting, cultural garden maintenance, and mulching, while engaging with environmental and cultural education opportunities. On Saturday, volunteers will plant 150+ native and culturally significant plants donated by the Wiyot Tribe and Samara Restoration.

All ages welcome. Bring closed toed shoes, long pants, and water. Dress for weather- held rain or shine. Tools, gloves, snacks, water, and pizza lunch will be provided both days.

Carpooling recommended.
