October Science on Tap: Plant Pathogens

Mad River Brewery Tasting Room

Science on Tap is this Friday, October 16th, and it’s getting spooky… Join us for a spine-chilling talk about a particularly deadly plant pathogen. An all-too-common forest health threat, Sudden Oak Death has been spreading north through California’s forests for decades, and it’s already here on the North Coast. You won’t want to miss this morbid lecture by UC Cooperative Extension Staff Research Associate Wallis Robinson.

The presentations start at 6 pm, but be sure to arrive early to secure a seat and grab a local beverage from the Paskenta Mad River Brewery. Please consider carpooling, as parking can be limited. We’ll see you there!

All proceeds help support the continuation of Science on Tap events and in-stream restoration projects organized by the Eel River Watershed Improvement Group. Thank you for your continued support.

Science on Tap fosters collaboration among local advocates for natural resources. Let’s create a platform for sharing ideas and inspiring resilience in environmental restoration for generations to come. Join us in building an inclusive space that welcomes everyone into the environmental community, making knowledge accessible and enjoyable for all in a laid-back and fun setting. See you there!
