Humboldt Rose Society Meeting

Christ Episcopal Church

On Thursday, March 12, at the regular meeting of the Humboldt Rose Society, Humboldt Rose Society President Evan Duthaler will discuss water catchment systems. The meeting is open to the public and all are invited. Water catchment, also known as water harvesting, is the process of collecting and storing rainwater. Water catchment systems collect water from rain gutters and use pipes to direct it to a storing drum, barrel, or cistern. The meeting is at Christ Episcopal Church in the Lewis Room, at 15th and H Streets in Eureka, at 7 p.m. (entry on 15th). Ample parking at 14th and G St. There are always refreshments, door prizes, and a warm welcome to guests, long-time rose growers, or “wish-they-were’s,” with helpful information available. For questions about the group or the meeting: (707) 822-4716 or dawcooper@gmail.com. Information about the Rose Society and roses is available at the Society’s website, www.humboldtrose.org.
